These terms govern your use of Ethiqly. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Ethiqly is an informational stock screening and portfolio tracking tool. It provides:

  • Stock data, fundamentals, technical indicators from third-party providers
  • Shariah compliance screening based on AAOIFI standards
  • AI-generated stock + portfolio analysis
  • Custom watchlists, alerts, scanners, and indicators

2. Not investment advice

Nothing in Ethiqly constitutes investment, financial, tax, or legal advice. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Markets carry risk — you can lose money. We are not authorised by the FCA or any other regulator to provide investment advice. Always consult a qualified, regulated advisor before making investment decisions.

Shariah compliance screening is a reference tool based on publicly available financial data and AAOIFI standards. It is not a religious ruling. For investment decisions that depend on Shariah compliance, consult a qualified Shariah scholar.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Ethiqly. By signing up you confirm you meet this requirement.

4. Account responsibilities

  • Keep your password confidential. You're responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Provide accurate information. Don't impersonate anyone.
  • Don't share your account or resell access.

5. Subscriptions and billing

  • Free tier is available indefinitely with feature limits.
  • Pro (£25/mo or £250/yr) and Premium (£40/mo or £400/yr) are billed via Stripe.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. Cancel anytime from Settings → Billing.
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; no pro-rated refunds.
  • VAT and other taxes added at checkout where applicable.

6. Data accuracy

We use reputable data providers (Yahoo Finance, Finnhub) but cannot guarantee data accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Prices may be delayed. Never use Ethiqly as the sole source for time- sensitive trading decisions.

7. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Scrape, mirror, or systematically extract data
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Use AI features to generate content that defames or harasses anyone
  • Abuse the API or attempt to bypass rate limits

8. Intellectual property

The Ethiqly service, branding, and underlying code are our intellectual property. Your portfolio data, custom indicators, and shared scans remain yours.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these terms (especially under "Acceptable use"). You may close your account at any time. On closure, we delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records).

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ethiqly is provided "as is" without warranties. Our liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by English law. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
